Mediven Plus (20-30 mmHg) compression hosiery is recommended for conditions such as heaviness and fatigue in the legs, low-grade varicosities without edema, varicose veins during pregnancy, small cutaneous varicose veins, and post-sclerotherapy. The graduated compression stockings help promote better blood flow back to your heart and improve circulation that can relieve tired, achy legs. They also reduce swelling in the ankles and feet caused by long periods of sitting and standing. By improving blood flow back to your heart and reducing pressure on your veins, Mediven stockings can help prevent and treat venous symptoms and varicose veins.
Soft and Resilient: Mediven Plus compression stockings are made of MedivenÍs technologically-advanced fabric„Medisilk. An innovative spandex yarn developed by Mediven, it allows for exceptional uniformity, round profile, and tensile strength. The secret to Medisilk fabric lies in its resiliency and every stocking constructed of the technologically-advanced material maintains its original compression and shape as well as offers a softer silhouette for a minimum of six months guaranteed. These Medisilk features combine to form some of the softest, sheerest, and resilient support hose on the market.
Supreme Breathability and Compliance: For added comfort, Mediven Plus stockings are made from a unique, air-permeable knit that combines Medisilk and the latest hybrid microfiber to form lightweight and breathable compression hosiery that keeps you cool and dry all day long.
Simple and Easy To Care For: Even with everyday use, Mediven compression stockings are long-lasting and suitable for machine washing and tumble drying.
Reinforced Sole: With a reinforced sole, your compression garments have an extended life and are protected against extreme wear and tear.
Clinically-Proven Accurate and Precise Compression: Mediven stockings are manufactured with skin-friendly yarns and dyes. They are guaranteed to provide you with accurate compression for a minimum of six months. Mediven hosiery continues to set the standard in accurate pressure, fashion, and style. HereÍs how it works: the compression graduates in intensity from the ankles up with the greatest pressure at the ankles where swelling occurs and where your veins are the weakest due to gravity and the lowest at the thigh. Medically accurate graduated compression therapy stockings push dilated vein walls back into place, enabling veins to close properly and function more efficiently. The result is increased blood flow which, in turn, significantly reduces leg swelling, pain, fatigue and the risk of blood clot formation. To achieve the most beneficial therapeutic effects, compression therapy must be worn regularly. That means every day, whenever youÍre out of bed.
Along with 20-30 mmHg, this product is also available in compression strengths of 30-40 mmHg and 40-50 mmHg.
Mediven recommends putting your garment on dry skin and to begin wearing your compression hose as soon as you get out of bed in the morning when your swelling is minimal. To avoid any unnecessary snags or pulls in your stockings, you should remove all jewelry that may come in contact with the support hose when putting them on. You can also wear rubber gloves to avoid your fingernails accidentally snagging the fabric as well. A butler is also very beneficial in helping you to correctly and easily put on your hose. You should remove your garment before going to bed in the evening.
Please be certain to contact your physician or therapist prior to starting any new compression therapy.
